

Yooka and Laylee become light-refractive, rendering them invulnerable to damage, but not knockback. Laylee carries Yooka upwards, and after the move the duo will slowly float downwards, and can be guided left and right, or they can use one of their aerials afterwards. Yooka shoots out his tongue to grab him opponent and eat them, spitting them out immediately afterwards. The move has high ending lag, and also has a cooldown of five seconds. Laylee emits a ring of soundwaves from her mouth, that paralyzes opponents. Yooka uses his tongue to slam his opponent on the ground. Yooka uses his tongue to throw his opponent above him. Yooka does a punch that launches opponents forward. Laylee uses her wings to strike her opponent. Also, in mid-air, if Yooka catches an opponent, he brings himself towards them and slams into them to launch them. Yooka shoots out his tongue to grab opponents from a distance and to tether recover in mid-air. Can self-destruct if used offstage with no platform to save Yooka.

Yooka slams downwards with his tail, bouncing off of anything he touches. Yooka does a flip to attack above him with his tail.

Yooka does a tail slap similar to his forward tilt, but in the air. Yooka curls up into a ball spins around while Laylee latches onto him. Yooka curls up into a ball and does a rolling attack, with Laylee using him as a wheel. Yooka crouches, while Laylee emits a damaging sound wave which pushes opponents. Yooka sticks out his tongue and does an around-the-world with it. Laylee slashes above her with one of her wings. Due to Yooka & Laylee being new inclusions to the Super Smash Bros.
